If you’re looking for a taste of the orient, then you can’t go wrong with these delicious Thai mini-meatballs – fresh, flavoursome and full of healthy ingredients.

Ingredients

Ingredients for approx.40 meatballs

  • 400 g minced lamb
  • 4 to 6 spring onions
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp chopped mint
  • 1 lime
  • salt and pepper
  • sweet chilli sauce
Method
  • Pre-heat the oven to gas 6 or 180°C / 360°F
  • Place the minced lamb in a dish. Add the spring onions chopped very finely, some grated zest from the lime (about 1 tsp), the mint, coriander, salt and pepper. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
  • Roll into small balls and place them on an oven tray covered with greaseproof paper. Cook in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Serve either hot or cold as a snack, with sweet chilli sauce to dip. Decorate with lime wedges.

Chef's Tip

You can also serve these little meatballs as a starter, with a salad.
